Department of Environmental Science

About the Department: The department coordinates and teaches Environmental Science education to all the students enrolled in the college irrespective of the programme they are admitted to. The department is well connected to the eminent academicians and research scholars from different disciplines who have contributed significantly to this multidisciplinary field. In the Department we adopt classroom as well as field teaching and learning that leads to overall understanding of the subject among students.

Courses/Programmes:

Environmental Science is offered as Value Added Course in B.A, B.BA, B.Com, and B.CA in Semester 1 st . Also offered as a Multidisciplinary Course in Semester 1st and 2nd in all programmes.

Course Learning Outcomes:

The course will enable the students to:

1. Gain an in-depth knowledge of natural processes that sustain life.

2. Predict implications of human activities on the quality of environment.

3. Develop critical thinking about environment conservation and sustainability.

4. Acquire values and attributes regarding understanding of complex environmental issues, solving the problems and preventing the future ones.
